Afloat
Afloat is a third-person action game where players control robots to save an ancient city in the clouds by fishing for energy. I led a team of four in a complete sound redesign, focusing on fish explosions, ambient sounds, and interactive elements, while managing the technical side and ensuring timely deliveries.
Afloat is a third-person action game where players control robots tasked with keeping an ancient city in the clouds powered long enough to survive an impending storm. The objective is to gather energy by fishing for ancestral fish, accumulating enough power to activate the beam and save the city.
During my time at Vancouver Film School, I led a team of four in the complete sound redesign of this game. I focused on creating sound effects for fish explosions, ambient sounds, and other interactive elements (excluding the main character sounds). Additionally, I managed the technical aspects of the project, including implementation, and ensured the team met deadlines and delivered all necessary documents on time.
